Electronic, horizontal flow pack wrapping machine with Long Dwell HS transverse sealing for high speed wrapping.

A horizontal flow wrap machine, capable of producing high integrity seals on suitable wrapping material at high speeds. A typical example of innovation from PFM. High integrity seals, at high speed, can be assured using the Rotary Long Dwell sealing system.
The main characteristics of the machine are as follows:

-	Cantilever construction, maximum ease of cleaning, maximum accessibility to the internal workings from the rear of the machine.
-	Three groups of rollers for pulling and sealing the wrapping material; each group is separate, tilting and self-lubricating.
-	Self centring reel holder with electronically controlled compenon brake and balancing device for controlling the tension of the film.
-	Electronic version.

Long Dwell HS (High Speed)
To obtain high integrity seals at high speeds three factors should be considered:

-	Sealing time
-	Sealing pressure
-	Accurate temperature control

The long Dwell sealing system allows the crimpers to remain in contact with the wrapping material for longer than a rotary system with tight control over temperature and pressure, thereby ensuring seal integrity.

Automatic Reel Change
The Mistral LD-HS has been fitted with an automatic reel change system.
This allows the film to be changed in the shortest possible time, thus reducing to a minimum any break in the production process.
The system is made up of two self centring reel holders, with electronic tension control. Whilst one reel is being used the other is prepared and on "stand by".
When the first reel nears the end, the unit slows the machine down and automatically changes over the full reel.
During this process the flow of products is either reduced or diverted until the reel has been changed, then the machine will automatically ramp up to normal operating speeds.

Servo Version
Mistral HS is also available in a SERVO machine. The main benefits of the SERVO system are as follows:

-	Instantaneous print centring and positioning, which eliminates waste material and time.

A 3 axis machine with brushless motors to independently control the:

-	Infeed conveyor
-	Longitudinal sealing unit
-	Transverse sealing units
-	Self diagnostic system which provides the operator with data relating to the status of the line
-	The main machine functions are controlled via a user friendly menu driven display, e.g. length of product, deceleration of the sealing jaws, photocell for print centring
-	Facility for up to 50 programs by recalling the programme corresponding to the product to be wrapped the machine will set itself up automatically.
